I visited Prague for the first time in 2017. The medieval city was rich with culture and architectural wonders. From walking Charles Bridge to Strahov Monastery Library, the city has a lot of things to admire. In this article, I will cover three of my favorite things to do in the city. Although my visit to Prague was brief, the visit was memorable.
1) Letna Park
Located on a hill with stunning views, Letna Park is a spot I would recommend for a quiet stroll. Prague is a historical beauty and seeing such cities from a unique vantage point can be fun. You will be able to see the red rooftops, architectural details, and some neighboring bridges. I recommend packing a small picnic or getting something to take with you to enjoy along the way.
Along the way, you will also be able to see a variety of homes as one of the main routes from Old Town will go up toward some residential areas.

2) Old Town
As noted, you can start in Old Town; this is likely the most recognizable part of Prague. From Charles Bridge to the clock tower, most of the well-known attractions in Prague can be found here. One of my favorite things about this part of the city was the street art and murals. Small murals could be found in unexpected places which made looking for them amusing. The murals also often had quirky or touch-and-cheek references. Additionally, from this area in the city, you were also able to book a river tour where an example can be seen below.

3) Strahov Monastery Library
A not-to-miss attraction in the city is the truly stunning Strahov Monastery Library. For a small fee, you can enter and explore the various exhibits. Why go to an old library you might ask? The architecture feels other worldly and the fresco on the ceiling is reason enough.
The shelves are lined with classic books and the detail on the ceiling looks like something our time in history has long forgotten. By stepping back in time, you can gain an awareness of how things used to be and get a glimpse of the history of Prague, Czech Republic.

As noted above, these are three wonderful things to see in Prague, Czech Republic. I highly recommend allocating at least 3 days to Prague if not more during your time. The city is unique and the atmosphere is worth soaking in through leisurely strolls and good eats.
